BOOKS TO MOVIES

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and The Hunger Games

With the Hunger Games coming out March 23 I’m undecided whether I’m going to see it or not. Why? No because I think it will be a bad movie but because I want to see the next one and the next one and the next one ASAP. I waited to read the books until I had time to go through all three at once. I’m really glad I did. Because after reading the first one I don’t think I could’ve waited months to get the next installment. Unfortunately, the second movie isn’t set to be released until November 2013. That’s a long time to wait. The three books will be made into for movies. At that rate the final one will come out until 2017 or 18. Geeze! Glad I read the books.

The same goes for the sequel to The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Sony says they don’t even have a script or director yet. That means we could be looking at 2014 for The Girl Who Played With Fire. I can’t imagine why they didn’t immediately go into production for the second and third book. Watching the DVD shows just how brilliant the direction and acting in the movie is. I certainly hope Hunger Games is just as brilliant.

Many movies that have come from books have totally disappointed me but I must say the extremely complicated The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo did not disappoint. My first thought I did question the change in the ending but now that I’ve seen it more than once I can understand why it was done.

Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig are so perfect in this movie is incredible. I’m so hoping the actors and Hunger Games are also. Not sure of the actor they chose to play Peeta. It seems a lot of other people can’t wait for the opening either. It said that this movie has sold more dance tickets than any other movie in history and that more than 2000 venues are already sold out.

Do you have an advance ticket? Or, are you like me and undecided whether you’ll see it right away or not?
