WHERE IN THE WORLD AM I?

Vernazza, in the Cinque Terre of northern Italy.

             The city has a beautiful natural harbor overseen by a ruined castle, an old church, and no car traffic. There’s a beautiful beach, plenty of rocks to sun bath on and outdoor restaurants with plenty of local vino. Do you see the tower in the upper right-hand part of the photo? To the left of it is a loan palm tree. Right below the palm tree was the room we stayed in.

Out one side of the room we had a view to the Ligurian Sea. The other was a view of the village which you can see here.

To get to get to our room we took a staircase that wound around homes.
